Writing Articles - How to Write Interesting Articles and/or Earn Some Money Online

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***

For a year now I have been writing articles and submitting them to EzineArticles and a few other places to begin with but now just to EA. I have submitted over 365 articles to date, on average being one article a day for a year.

Recently, I became interested in submitting articles to HubPages and so within the last 24 hours have created my very first HubPage. As anyone who is into article marketing knows, HubPages and Squidoo Lenses are places that you can set up written topics and provide information for your readers. I think that the difference between HubPages and Squidoo is that a HubPage can be about one article but a lens can be built and is better to be built on several articles around a particular topic giving the reader a more in-depth experience, expanding on different aspects of the topic as well.

I have as yet to explore Squidoo and will eventually be brave enough to begin and set up a lens or two and see what the fuss is about.

Is writing an article easy?
I have seen and read some articles which were quick and light and thought I can write a better article than that, and so when I say that it is easy, it is usually because I pick topics that interest me and that I know something about and at least have an opinion on. So, I would say to anyone wanting to write, that it is not difficult. Most word-processor type programs have a facility to check spelling and grammar which helps you produce an article that is easy to read and makes sense to the reader.

I would always suggest that you proof-read your article at least twice and leave it for a short time and come back to it and read it as you would if you were one of your readers - ask yourself, does it make sense to you? Does it tell your reader what you were trying to convey? Is it interesting and written in a way that has a natural flow?

A good way to write is how you would speak in a conversation with your reader. A good article is written with your reader's best interest at heart. Nothing speaks more to your reader that addressing a need that they might have, and showing them that you care about them. They are not going to care about what you know until they sense that you care about them. Especially when you want to teach them about something...
